Project Go Girl TV, EP. 8: Elvis’ Mansion to New Orleans…In 1 Day!

After you’ve tried some Memphis BBQ (or you will be full of regrets!) and taken a stroll down Beale Street, it is time for some rock ‘n’ roll! The Graceland Mansion was home to Elvis Presley himself, and sits just outside of downtown Memphis. You will be dazzled by the amount of authentic Elvis memorabilia Graceland hosts including cars, planes, clothes, furniture, records, costumes, and more, more, more!

I always knew Elvis was a music man, but it is incredible just how many pots he had cookin’ in the kitchen. He was an incredible humanitarian, starred in countless movies, and even served in the military – all by age 36!

After my Graceland excursion I had to hit the road. Here I come New Orleans!

Before beignets and NOLA nightlife, I needed a good night’s sleep. Noni’s Bed and Breakfast greeted me with wine and spicy Louisiana sausage stuffed mushrooms. I loved the eclectic vibe throughout the entire house – ornate figurines, remarkable paintings, handcrafted furniture, and of course a freshly made bed; all lulled me to sleep after my long drive.

There is something beautiful about the evening hours in New Orleans. Maybe it’s the ocean air and the sultry jazz and blues poured from the open doors of lounges and bars. Maybe it’s the smell of spices and warm welcomes from bed and breakfasts. You will just have to see for yourself.

Enjoy the show!
